Yoga, What does it means for you “Yoga”? - In our Life Journey, there are the new starts. This is the introduction to one of them. Probably the most meaningful I chose to follow since then. Here and Now, the start will take root.
This is how the first lesson of the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training has started, two weeks ago already.”Yoga? What does it means for you “Yoga”?” Very good question, indeed ! If you are here, in front of your screen reading those lines now, maybe this question will hit you as it did to me. Whether you are practicing yoga, or not and merely heard about it. Yoga is a big word nowadays. How many articles? how many topics on the press? How many references on our daily conversations ? Even the less aware of the practice has for sure an opinion on it :
“Namaste ! What does it even means Namaste?”
“What sport did you plan to start this year ? Oh, I started Yoga, I heard this is really good for articulations and postures !”
“Inhale, Exhale, The Universe will reach you out…”
Thanks to this very charming virus - should I really named it? - perhaps, meditations and what we commonly named Yoga became very quickly an escape for crazy locked up minds to many people. Associate with fitness, music or some other activities.
Funny fact : Yoga is not a “nowadays thing”. The ancestral practice started a long long time - more or less 5000 BC - and some of ours first reflex would be to compare it with religions - which are much younger, 3000 BC to even younger, however Yoga is not a religion. Yoga is a philosophy.
“What is the deeper and inner meaning of practicing Yoga for me? Why am I choosing to jump with both feet into this Sacred Journey ? “
To this question, my first thought was : I enrolled in these courses to understand in a deeper and better way what yoga was. Did I already ask myself what was “Yoga”for me. Not that clearly. And Now?
Now, it jump out of me.
I think yoga is a space, however a non limited space. Not a space without obstacles either. This is an infinite space to explore and discover step by step the whole inner world to reach and understand the “outside”. A space where I am confronting myself and also tryin to ease it. Feel the truth at this current moment and live it. Practicing yoga for me is a way to find this space in and out to reconnect with myself and with others, like, unconditionally. To connect with an inner joy but let’s say even : an inner joy through the whole existence.
I took a second and realized that I obviously did it my way. Let’s contemplate a conversation between me and myself.
Inner Claire: Hey, deeper inner mate, How are you doing today ? Ain’t know if you’ve heard about this. I just wondered if you could reply to the tricky question ?
Deeper inner Claire: Sigh inside, the truth is where you think you can not find it…
IC: What on earth …
DIC: It begins where it needs to begin. You just close your eyes and it feels right. No need defining the where. The seek is an inner one & You are at the right place at the right time. It is just here when you accept to let it in. Let’s this journey start again. Open your heart. This is about
LOVE
IC: Awesome, you read my mind and feelings obvi ! Namaste my inner friend !
Here I am. And here is the meaning. Yoga is now and here, Yoga is where you want it to be.
Everywhere and no(w)here.
Let’s get Started …
